Reminder: City advises of critical Gordon’s Bay electricity work

The City reminds consumers in the Gordon’s Bay area of an electricity supply interruption for essential Eskom infrastructure maintenance, which will be carried out on Wednesday, 16 July 2025, from 07:40 to 17:00.

It is important to note that the interruption to supply will only impact the area on the map and only on the relevant date. The work will be carried out from 07:40 to 17:00, if all goes to plan.

Please note:
 
The electricity supply could be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the planned maintenance work.
 
Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution and to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on.
